For the first time at BIT 2022 ASTOI presence becomes Village

The ASTOI Village debuts, hosting for the first time up to 20 associated tour operators including Alpitour, Alidays, Boscolo Tour Operator, Costa Crociere, Cocktail Viaggi, Futura Vacanze, Guiness Travel, Idee per Viaggiare, I Grandi Viaggi, Viaggi del Mappamondo, Naar Tour Operator, Nicolaus/Valtur, Ota Viaggi, Th Resorts, Veratour.

Nowadays tourism needs sustainable innovation more than ever, to find a new dimension in a 2022 that promises to be just as complex as the two years that preceded it. And no one in Italy ever anticipates and interprets innovation in tourism better than BITMilano, due to take place at fieramilanocity this April from Sunday 10 to Tuesday 12, presenting itself as the first major industry event in presence of 2022.

In order to meet the diverse needs of operators, the exhibition develops over three areas defined by key tourism issues: Leisure, MICE, BeTech.

Many other TOs and distribution networks will also be present with their stands at the event, including MSC Cruises with its companies Going Tour Operator, and the distribution network Bluvacanze / Cisalpina, Gattinoni, together with other emerging realities such as Shiruq Viaggi.

Alpitour has long been offering its travellers a sustainability handbook for some time, while Viaggi del Mappamondo promotes sustainable destinations such as the Maldives, Qatar or Thailand. Gattinoni is also taking sustainable measures in management, such as a green corporate fleet.

Focusing on sustainable innovation will be key to recovering to pre-Covid levels as quickly as possible. According to the latest UNWTO Barometer (January 2022), international tourist arrivals in 2021 rose by 4% to 415 million compared to 400 million in 2020, though were still below pre-pandemic levels. With a growth of 54%, Mediterranean Europe is one of the regions that has recovered the most, while globally international arrivals are expected to return to pre-pandemic levels by 2024.
