Business Travel, reassuring signals for the future

Milan accepts the challenge of launching its Convention Bureau at a time when it is still evolving.

At a time when there is a lot of talk of remote working, it takes a good dose of confidence in the future to look to the revival of Business Travel. Confidence and courage are, fortunately, not lacking. In this case, in Milan: the Lombard capital presented its new official Convention Bureau. This project is highly awaited by the operators of all the sectors involved - from hospitality to Ho.Re.Ca. and related industries - and is destined to become an instrument of primary importance for welcoming more and more MICE (Meetings, Events, Conferences & Exhibitions) events to the city.

In a context where recovery will be very gradual, and probably uneven, it becomes even more important to focus on niches with high added value. With this in mind, the bureau's main aim will be to promote the territory as a business destination. The new company capitalizes on the experience of Milano&Partners: in its first year of activity, the city's promotion agency has attracted the interest and support of essential players in the tourism industry - from SEA to Fondazione Fiera Milano - with the task of relaunching the area worldwide with the YesMilano brand. In particular, Fiera Milano Congressi has decided to merge into Milano&Partners its Eventing structure, which for 12 years has played the role of Convention Bureau for the territory, to create strong synergies between all the players in the chain and act with an institutional role in favour of the area.

At Bit 2021, at fieramilanocity from 9 to 11 May, the world of Business Travel will be the protagonist of the MICE Village, one of the six themed areas of the exhibition that will bring together supply and demand in business travel and events, with even greater emphasis on opportunities for a relaunch.
