Fleet renewal and energy transition among the focuses for the 2024 edition.

ANFIA confirms its support for Next Mobility Exhibition 2024. The association, which collectively represents 460 companies, is thus preparing to make a contribution to the construction of a programming schedule of exhibitions and conferences in which innovation and technology will be the protagonists. The public transport sector is facing significant challenges and transformations, mainly driven by the transition towards more sustainable and digital practices. These developments follow the parameters set by the European regulatory agenda, which focuses on the decarbonisation of mobility and the introduction of new safety requirements for vehicles.

"NME is a great opportunity for international visibility for the companies in the bus and coach sector that ANFIA represents and which offer a wide range of state-of-the-art solutions with low environmental impact, covering all the green technologies available today," affirms Gianmarco Giorda, Director General of ANFIA. "In the current phase of recovery of the Italian bus and coach market, thanks to the availability of the PNRR funds, the highest objective for us is the creation of an increasingly efficient, sustainable and safe collective transport system, which can be achieved first and foremost through a renewal of the circulating fleet that brings Italy into line with the standards of the most advanced European countries. To do this, it is also essential to permanently structure lines of public funding. In Milan, in May, we will have the opportunity to give space to these issues and understand them better, to be shared with all the players in the supply chain

In the industrial perspective, the Italian supply chain excels in terms of production excellence and specialisation, represented by companies that invest in research and innovation, providing cutting-edge technologies and developing new ones for the future. Italian manufacturers, through their new models characterised by extremely low emissions, are ready to make a significant contribution to the renewal of the vehicle fleet, and are already doing so: thus enabling local public transport companies to upgrade their fleets with more modern and sustainable vehicles.
