Designers, architects and landscape architects are preparing to visit the next edition of ME-MADE expo, being able to choose from the many initiatives that put innovative visions and concepts of building and urban design at the centre of the debate.

ME-MADE expo will offer four days packed with meetings, workshops, award ceremonies and seminars, providing unique opportunities to explore the future of the construction industry. Conferences and meetings led by internationally renowned experts and speakers will be organized in specific thematic sections focusing on market trends and perspectives, as well as project advancements related to NRRP and quality of living. KEYNOTE SPEECHES AND THE ARCHI.BOX INSTALLATION: THE ME-MADE EXPO AMBASSADORS 

Leading figures in the international debate on the influence of new technologies in the urban field Winy Maas and Carlo Ratti will be official ambassadors for the 2023 edition of ME-MADE expo.

Maas and Ratti will give a master class on November 15th and 16th respectively (for both at 5 p.m. - Unbuilt Area Hall 1). In addition, a virtual room named Archi.box will be dedicated to each of the two architects, designed to give the public an immersive, multisensory video mapping experience focused on a key theme for contemporary architecture. The two ambassadors will be joined by Patricia Viel, hired by Fondazione Promozione Acciaio, who will lead the Innovative Architectural Solutions for Steel lecture on Thursday, November 16th at 3 p.m. (Hall 3).

 

UNBUILT: THE INITIATIVE DEDICATED TO THE "NEVER BUILT"

UNBUILT, Unrealized Projects, the initiative conceived by Platform in partnership with ME to tell the story of the architecture of the unbuilt, is a new element this year.

40 international and Italian architecture firms (20+20), based on applications from all over the world and selected by Platform Network, will present their "never built" projects, presenting a journey through architecture in the making with projects that have never been built, but are still current or viable. In addition to offering an overview of projects of different types, UNBUILT will provide a new opportunity for dialogue with the architects in attendance on trends in modern architecture design as seen from an international perspective.

 

RE-REGENERATION|REAL ESTATE

Real estate and the manufacturing supply chain meet at ME 2023: a dozen questioners, harbingers of change and representing institutions, the world of planning, developers, builders, but also new professions and who will add value and illustrate the new features in the sector.

The cycle will be developed in three 'episodes' dedicated to the world of real estate, starting with the Italian scenario, passing through the transformation of the hospitality sector, and concluding with a focus on Milan. Find out more about the program!

 

RELIVE 2023. URBE-SCAPE

In the Millennials area (pav. 2) on Friday November 17th and Saturday November 18th, the work of 'Relive 2023. UrbE-Scape,' curated by SITdA (Italian Society of Architectural Technology) will be held, involving young researchers and teachers/lecturers from all over Italy.

The challenge is to define design solutions for the development and improvement of comfort, equipping and outfitting through "nature based solutions," along with material systems and components consistent with the principles of the circular economy that allow the reconfiguration of public areas, the redesign of a new functionality and the sustainable management of natural ecosystems.

The case of the city of Corsico in the province of Milan will be the subject of a special in-depth study.
